Our journey really started back in 2012 when Urban Meyer was hired. Jeremy — a die-hard Buckeye fan and big-time presence in the memorabilia world — and myself, another lifelong Buckeye fan who was starting to pay even closer attention with my former high school coach on staff, were already talking about Ohio State nonstop. Anytime we crossed paths, the Buckeyes came up. Every time. Games, recruits, schemes, Saturdays in the Shoe — it was always part of the conversation.
The Coach & The Couch Potato
Jeremy had been kicking around the idea of starting a podcast for years. We finally pulled the trigger in the summer of 2023, and The Coach and The Couch Potato was born. After laying the groundwork, we officially launched in December of 2023. The goal was simple: blend 15+ years of coaching experience with the perspective of the everyday fan. We wanted to break things down in a way that didn’t talk at people — just real football conversations that made sense whether you lived in the film room or watched from the couch.

That means deeper breakdowns, more honest analysis, and pulling back the curtain on why things work — or don’t — on Saturdays.
