A Noble Boom
We hinted last week that Missouri Linebacker Prince Goldsby could be on commitment watch this coming weekend, after moving his official visit up. We didn’t have to wait that long, as Goldsby committed to the Buckeyes on Monday evening. Missouri’s number 1 player and the 7th ranked linebacker had offers from Indiana and Alabama too. He finished his junior campaign with 83 tackles, 22.5 TFL’s, and 13.5 sacks. He is the 2nd linebacker to join the 2027 class, along with Quinton Cypher.
The First Official Visits Are Here
From a numbers standpoint this weekend has dropped to only 3 visitors. However, from a talent stand point it’s a big weekend. The official visitors are RB David Gabriel Georges, WR Benny Easter (Texas Tech Commit), and DT Marcus Fakatou. I think I’ve talked about DGG every single time that the ‘27 class is discussed. It’s no secret how important the Tennessee running back is to the Buckeyes. Fakatou was given the all-in treatment as he was greeted at the airport by the defensive staff, on Thursday night. The Sierra Canyon (CA) product would add another monster piece to an already solid defensive line class. Easter is intriguing. The Red Raider commit has recently been linked to the Buckeyes.

A New Offer Goes Out
Last week we discussed Coach G handing out new offers and this week there was only one new offer handed out that I could find. That offer went out to Florida WR Jordan Donahoo. Donahoo is an interesting prospect. I can see why Coach Hank offered him. He stands 6’4 and 185 pounds, so the height is there and by watching his film you can see his high school team use that to their advantage. He doesn’t seem to have top end speed, but his footwork is good. He’s ranked as the 138th receiver in the class. We’ve discussed that with NIL and roster construction that finding hidden gems is a must and I believe that the receiver room is going to always need guys like Donahoo. He currently hold offers from Cincinnati, Minnesota, Georgia Tech, Kansas State, among others.
This has been a slower week on the recruiting front, especially with the holiday. Despite the fact a few official visits are no longer happening this weekend, it’s still a HUGE weekend. 3 guys that are all vital to the class will be on campus and now can get even more attention from the staff.
